What I Coach

As a Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach, I help professionals take control of their money—whether that means creating a budget that actually works, building savings, or breaking the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck.

My coaching is practical, personal, and focused on real progress. I don’t sell products or give investment advice—I teach skills to manage money with clarity and confidence, using a proven plan that builds a strong financial foundation for the future.

If you're making good money and still feeling stuck, you're not alone. If these sound familiar, you’re in the right place:

  • The paychecks come in. The bills get paid. But you’re not saving—and you’re not sure why.

    With coaching:

    • Track where your money’s actually going (spoiler: it’s eye-opening)

    • Build a real budget that puts you in charge

    • Make a plan to save, give, and spend with purpose

Getting intentional with your income changes everything—even if your salary doesn’t.

  • Unexpected expenses knock you off track—again and again.

    Coaching will help you:

    • Save your first $1,000 emergency fund (Baby Step 1)

    • Set up sinking funds for things like car repairs and travel

    • Learn to plan for the unexpected—before it hits

Even a small cushion can turn a crisis into an inconvenience.

  • You try to be responsible. You pay extra on your debt… but then life happens and you pull from savings to cover it. The cycle never ends.

    Coaching helps you:

    • Separate your emergency fund from your spending account

    • Pause debt payoff temporarily to build a $1,000 starter emergency fund (Baby Step 1)

    • Use the debt snowball to tackle balances in order—without draining your savings

Real progress starts when your savings stay saved.

  • Your employer offers a retirement plan, but between the jargon and student loans, it feels easier to ignore it. You’re not sure if now is the right time—or if you’re even doing it right.

    With coaching:

    • Know when to wait (until you’re out of debt and have a full emergency fund)

    • Understand your options: 401(k), Roth IRA, employer match, and more

    • Make a confident decision instead of guessing or avoiding it

Baby Step 4 is investing 15% of your income—but not until you're ready. I’ll help you know when that is.

  • You're not reckless—you’re just stretched thin, and it feels like you’ll never get ahead.

    I can help you:

    • Create a monthly plan that gives every dollar a job

    • Identify hidden money leaks that are draining your progress

    • Learn to say “no” now, so you can say “yes” later

You don’t need a raise to feel in control—you need a plan.

  • You make the minimum payments and avoid the rest. Logging in feels overwhelming—and you’re not sure what your options are.

    With coaching:

    • Get organized: total your balances, interest rates, and due dates

    • Make a plan to knock them out using the debt snowball (Baby Step 2)

    • Learn how to manage loans without fear or avoidance

Knowing your numbers puts you back in control—even before you pay a dime.

  • You’re not reckless—but you’ve definitely rage-ordered takeout after a bad day, said yes to a trip you couldn’t afford, or blacked out your budget after clicking “Buy Now.”

    Let me help you:

    • Spot your biggest spending triggers and set up real boundaries

    • Use tools like cash, categories, and delay rules to stay in control

    • Build a plan that includes fun—without blowing your future

A written budget helps you spend with intention—not emotion.

  • Moving out looks impossible. Maybe you’re even thinking about buying—but don’t know what’s realistic.

    With coaching:

    • Run the numbers: rent, utilities, down payment, closing costs, maintenance

    • Build a moving or homebuying fund using targeted savings

    • Make sure your emergency fund is solid before signing any lease or mortgage

You don’t need to rush—just know the steps so you’re ready when the time comes.

About Your Coach

In my twenties, I was living in Washington, DC—earning a good income, sharing an apartment with a roommate, and enjoying the fast-paced city life. I leased an expensive car, dined out often, traveled, and rarely thought twice about spending. I avoided looking at my bank account unless it was time to pay rent—sometimes even dipping into my small savings to cover it. I carried credit cards but always paid them off, often by pulling from savings, because I was raised by two hardworking parents who avoided debt at all costs.

I thought I was doing fine—after all, I wasn’t living paycheck to paycheck, and I was contributing something to my 401(k), even if I didn’t know where it was invested. I was making minimum payments on my $12,000 in student loans but avoided looking too closely at them. As I got raises and changed jobs, I raised my spending right along with my income. I figured that’s just what you do.

But looking back, I wish I had known then what I know now. I wish I had discovered the Baby Steps while I was still single, with fewer responsibilities and more flexibility. I wish I’d had a financial coach in my corner—someone to help me understand my money, build real habits, and create a plan before life got more complicated. It would have changed everything.

That’s why I do this work today. As your financial coach, I’ll meet you exactly where you are. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been coasting for a while, I’ll help you gain clarity, take control of your money, and move forward at your own pace—with a clear plan and the support you need to follow through.

I help people in all life stages, from college through retirement. I’m a Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach and currently pursuing the Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) designation through the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education®.
