What I Coach

As a Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach, I help married couples get on the same page with money—whether you’re working on a budget, tackling debt, or finally building the savings you keep talking about.

My coaching is practical, personal, and focused on real results. I don’t sell products or give investment advice—I teach proven money skills that help you work as a team, stay focused on your goals, and build a solid financial foundation for your future together.

Even with two incomes, it’s easy to feel like you’re spinning your wheels. If money conversations are stressful—or you’re just not making the progress you hoped for—you’re not alone. If any of these sound familiar, you’re in the right place:

  • You’re committed, but your money still lives in two separate worlds—and that’s slowing you down.

    Why it matters to combine:

    • One emergency fund = faster progress on Baby Step 1

    • One debt snowball = faster wins on Baby Step 2

    • One budget = less confusion, more trust

    • One team = shared momentum

With coaching, let me help you:

    • Build one budget that includes both incomes and all goals

    • Split roles so you both stay involved without micromanaging

    • Set up a shared plan to save, spend, and pay off debt—together

You’ll move a lot faster when your money’s pulling in the same direction.

  • You both bring in income, but there’s nothing left after bills. It feels like you're stuck on a treadmill.

    With coaching:

    • Build a zero-based budget that gives every dollar a job before the month begins (Baby Step 1)

    • Spot and plug spending leaks that quietly eat up your income

    • Work together to stick to a plan and get quick wins that build momentum

Getting control of your income is the foundation of everything else.

  • You know debt is holding you back—but only one of you is ready to face it.

    Why does it matter?
Debt delays every goal: buying a home, saving for kids, building wealth. The longer it lingers, the more it drains your income and limits your options. You can’t win with money unless you’re attacking it together.

    I can help you both:

    • Get clear on the real cost of keeping debt around

    • Define what life could look like without payments

    • Build a joint plan that makes progress feel doable—not painful

Debt is the #1 threat to your financial future. You need one plan, one team, and zero excuses.

  • Every time you try to build savings, something unexpected drains it.

    Coaching helps you:

    • Prioritize a $1,000 emergency fund to stop relying on credit (Baby Step 1)

    • Delay long-term savings until debt is cleared—so you can go further, faster (Baby Steps 2 → 3)

    • Plan ahead for non-monthly expenses so you stop dipping into your emergency fund

Saving is powerful—but only if you do it in the right order.

  • You’re dreaming about homeownership, but the numbers feel overwhelming.

    With coaching:

    • Get current on Baby Steps 1–3 so you’re financially ready to buy

    • Create a savings plan for a strong down payment—without pausing your progress

    • Avoid common traps like buying too much house or skipping the budget

    Owning a home should be a blessing—not a curse.

  • It’s tough to think long-term when your present is already stretched thin.

    With coaching:

    • Know when to pause retirement contributions (and when to restart)

    • Focus on the Baby Steps in the right order—so you’re not spinning your wheels

    • Identify realistic next steps based on your current season

    • Build habits that free up money to invest faster

You can’t catch up overnight—but you can catch up with a focused plan.

  • You want to grow your family—but the financial side feels overwhelming.

    I can help you:

    • Get a basic budget in place so you’re not guessing month to month

    • Plan for common costs like childcare, diapers, and time off

    • Decide what needs to shift now to reduce pressure later

Kids don’t need perfection—but a plan makes the transition smoother.

  • Switching to one income feels risky—and you’re not sure what it would actually take.

    Let’s:

    • Review your real monthly expenses and income options

    • Identify what needs to happen first (like paying off debt or trimming the budget)

    • Run the numbers so your decision isn’t based on guesswork

You don’t have to guess—you need real numbers and a plan that shows it can work.

  • You want to set them up for success—but you’re not sure how to start without falling behind yourselves.

    With my help:

    • Make sure your own foundation is solid first (Baby Steps 1–4)

    • Choose the best next step for your situation—whether it’s starting small or exploring options

    • Clarify your role as a parent and set realistic expectations

    • Avoid common traps like pausing retirement to save for college

You can support your kids’ future—without sacrificing your own.

  • You’re doing the work—but it feels like everyone else is ahead.

    With coaching:

    • Zoom in on your numbers and goals—not outside noise

    • Reset your financial foundation if needed, without shame

    • Create a clear plan so you know exactly what “progress” means

    • Build traction with small wins that actually move the needle

You don’t need to catch up with anyone—you just need a plan that works for you.

About Your Coach

When I got married in my mid-thirties, I brought a $15,000 car loan and about $1,000 in credit card debt into the marriage. I had already paid off $12,000 in student loans. I was living within my means and saving a little each month, but I wasn’t tracking it closely. I had a good job and more income than expenses—but no real plan.

My spouse brought around $90,000 in student loans into our marriage and had a smaller income than I did. But we both valued living within our means and being thoughtful with money. Early on, we decided to combine our incomes—we wanted to approach things as a team, not as two individuals managing money separately. Still, we didn’t have a budget or regular money conversations at first. That part came later.

Then came the COVID pandemic. Mortgage rates were dropping, and we started talking seriously about homeownership. That’s when we got focused on the Baby Steps. I (the nerd) built our first monthly budget using Ramsey’s EveryDollar app. We started having monthly budget meetings before each new month. That simple rhythm helped us stay aligned, get intentional, and make fast progress. We started working through the Baby Steps and saved a 20% down payment within 2 years.

Fast forward four years—we’re still doing our monthly budget meetings! We’re debt-free except for the mortgage, saving for major expenses, and fully aligned on our financial vision. Talking about money is no longer stressful. Sometimes, it’s even fun.

That’s why I do this work now—especially for married couples. I know how powerful it is when two people start pulling in the same direction financially. I’ll meet you where you are, help you make sense of your money as a team, and guide you step by step—no shame, no pressure, just steady progress. Together, we’ll build a plan that reflects your shared goals and gives you both the confidence to move forward.

I help people in all life stages, from college through retirement. I’m a Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach and currently pursuing the Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) designation through the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education® (AFCPE®).
