What I Coach
My coaching is built around seven key steps. These guide clients from gaining financial stability, to creating freedom and new opportunities, and finally reaching financial independence where they no longer need to rely on a paycheck to live.
7 Steps to Wealth:
-
I’ll help you find a savings rate (% of income) that fits your current budget and lifestyle.
-
As you begin to save consistently, learn skills around budgeting to protect your savings and find ways to cut unnecessary expenses.
-
In addition to controlling your spend, we’ll talk about ways to reduce temptations and avoid risky financial moves. We’ll also look at insurance plans.
-
Once you have met a certain amount of savings, it’s time to look at how to put your money to work for you. We’ll look at investing and other ways to make your money grow.
-
Your primary home is a significant part of your wealth portfolio. Learn how to buy a home the smart way so you can afford to own it and continue other financial goals.
-
I’ll help you plan for your retirement income and build skills to prepare now so you can stop working when you want to.
-
As you begin to build proficiency in all the above, we’ll look into ways to increase your potential to earn, such as furthering your education, growing your career, and/or starting a side income.
If you have consumer debt, like student loans, credit cards, car loans, or a HELOC, I’ll coach you in finding the fastest, most effective way to pay it off based on your situation. The goal is to eliminate high-risk debt and get you back on track to building wealth.

Testimonials
“Growing up, neither one of our families discussed money, budgets, or finances (at least not in front of us kids). So, our perception of money was limited and frankly, rather laissez faire. Either you had it or you didn't. As long as there was a money in our bank account and available credit on our cards, we thought we were good to go. Oh, how wrong we were! Even after realizing we had a problem, we didn't know where to start until we saw a post in our local community Facebook group from Justin. He was offering group financial coaching sessions. It was just what we needed. Justin is open, honest, and has no issue with asking the hard questions to hold us accountable.
These last few months have been eye-opening and literally, life changing for our family. We have gained confidence and feel more comfortable in discussing all aspects of our finances with Justin, with each other, and with our boys.
We highly recommend Justin and his financial coaching services!”

“Justin helped me in a way that no other financial coach has. I had struggled for years and he was able to explain things to me that actually made sense for my lifestyle and goals that no one has before. He put things in perspective that went beyond just my financial situation. Working with him has opened doors of thought to how I want to grow in my life and opened a platform of conversation with my partner that has previously been too delicate to talk about. He provides an organized, safe, trustworthy environment with a patient and kind approach. I am thankful for working with Justin.”

About Your Coach
I grew up in a household where money was tight. My parents worked multiple jobs, avoided debt (thankfully!), and showed me the value of living within your means. I started working at 13 to help pay my way as a teenager.
In my twenties, after college graduation, I made a decent income but lacked direction. I leased a car I couldn’t afford, saved inconsistently, and lived paycheck to paycheck. By 30, I realized I had been working hard but hadn’t built anything lasting. When my spouse and I married, we carried $90,000 in student loan debt. When we decided to buy our first home during the COVID-19 pandemic, we realized we needed to get our financial house in order. We decided to take full control of our income and spending so we could optimize our money and achieve financial goals.
Today, we manage our money with clarity and purpose, and I want to share what I’ve learned with the world through 1:1 and 1:2 (couples) coaching.
I’m currently pursuing the Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) designation through the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education® (AFCPE®).
